Canny Radio broadcast The Sunday Vaults live from the first ever Gateshead Food Festival on Sunday. Pete Moss chatted to loads of people through the day.
The festival took place at venues including the Railway Quarter and Gateshead Arches, with visitors able to explore a variety of food, activities and entertainment throughout the town centre.
There was plenty for food lovers to get stuck into, with street food from local favourites offering a chance to try something different, alongside a showcase of locally-made products.
Cooking was also at the heart of the festival, with workshops and demonstrations giving visitors the chance to pick up new ideas, learn some new skills and see food being prepared in front of them.
One of the highlights was the community cook-off, which saw local community groups go head-to-head in the kitchen in a bid to be crowned the festival's star cooks.
The event wasn't just about the grown-ups, either, with activities for children helping to make the festival a family-friendly day out.
