The Ouseburn Festival is returning next month and this year's event promises to be a weekend of creativity, music and great food on the 4th and 5th of July.
The Ouseburn Trust, who put on the event, will be publishing a full programme of events on their website on the 4th June, but we already know that great local comedians will be showcased as part of 'Felt Nowt' which will be taking over Victoria Tunnel on the Saturday. Newcastle Circus Arts will also be performing and leading workshops in the green spaces. There is expected to be a huge range of food, craft and fashion markets throughout the weekend and it has been confirmed that the Ouseburn Festival Community Parade is returning, after a year away, on the Sunday.
Ouseburn Festival is a not-for-profit community event that relies on funding and sponsorship to make it happen. This year's festival has been supported by Arts Council England, Newcastle City Council's Ouseburn and Byker Wards and the Malings Community Fund, and with sponsorship from The Biscuit Factory, One Utility Bill, Hoults Yard, PNE and Rountons Coffee.
